DOT-required cylinder pressure testing every 12 years. We provide full DOT certification and compliance documentation for all low-pressure cylinders and fire extinguishers.
Hydrostatic testing is a DOT-required pressure test that verifies the structural integrity of fire extinguisher cylinders. Every fire extinguisher cylinder must be hydrostatically tested at intervals specified by NFPA 10 — typically every 5 or 12 years depending on the extinguisher type. Cylinders that fail testing must be removed from service and condemned.
NFPA 10 requires hydrostatic testing every 12 years for most stored-pressure extinguishers and every 5 years for certain CO2 and high-pressure cylinder types. Our technicians will assess your equipment and advise you on the correct testing schedule to keep your business compliant.
